At Closer, our values are ongoingly present. Our efforts as a company go beyond legal requirements, business demand, competition, or even the economy. We enjoy pursuing long term goals, and as citizens we strive that our performance delivers a positive impact on society.
This year we decided to invest in the Portuguese initiative "Bolsa de Valores Sociais" (Social Stock Market), a recent and innovative project that replicates a Stock Market with a social responsibility scope. This initiative provides the gathering of carefully selected Civil Society Organizations (with a portfolio of relevant initiatives and proven results in the area of Education and Entrepreneurship), and social investors (donors) that are willing to support these organizations through the purchase of 'social stocks'.
We are counting on our Clients, Partners and Associates support in choosing in which projects we should invest in.
Here are the projects available for investment:
How to use the Voucher:
1. Go to www.bvs.org.pt
2. Choose one of the quoted projects, cliqck on “Invista” e then on “Invista Agora”
3. Where to place the number of stocks to acquire, type in the same value as on the voucher
4. Choose the “Finalizar a sua Aquisição” option
5. Register as a new investor (“Novo Investidor”), filling out the required information, or login if you had previously registered before
6. In the payment form, choose “Voucher” option and insert the respective code.
Emulating what happens in capital stock markets, the Social Stock Market demonstrates it is the initiative that promotes this gathering point and that it looks after a clear relashionship between the organization and the social investor. By doing so, it assures that the social investment be as effective as possible, with results that may be followed by the social investors. By promoting social investment and investor concepts, the Social Stock Market advocates that Civil Society Organization support not be seen from a philanthropic or charity perspective, but as an investment that generates a new kind of profit: social profit.
